Customize the SMS message sent for each notification event

SMS Notification Templates

Use {variable} placeholders — replaced automatically when SMS is sent. Keep messages concise (160 chars = 1 SMS credit).

India DLT Compliance: If using MSG91, TextLocal, or Fast2SMS, each template must be registered with TRAI. Enter the registered DLT Template ID in the field provided. Leave blank for non-DLT gateways (Twilio, Vonage).

SMS Best Practices
Keep messages under 160 characters to use 1 credit per SMS.
Avoid special Unicode characters — they reduce the limit to 70 chars per SMS.
URLs in SMS count towards the character limit — use short URLs.
For India: register each template on the DLT portal before going live.
